Benchmarking and reports

Hilltop Wind in July, in five steps.

From last month's numbers to what a new neighbour would cost it, all in supagrid.

  1. 01

    Open the farm

Hilltop Wind made 41.2 GWh in July and captured $58.00/MWh, but lost 6.1% of its output to curtailment.

  2. 02

    Find what held it back

Most of the lost output went to one limit, the north corridor, which is the line Hilltop Wind exports through.

  3. 03

    See the outage

A planned outage took the line out from 3 to 6 July. Those four days cost 0.9 GWh, a third of the month's curtailment.

  4. 04

    Compare with peers

Against the ten wind farms most like it, Hilltop Wind earned the third most per megawatt over the year.

  5. 05

    Test a new neighbour

A 150 MW solar farm is proposed nearby. Rerun last year with it, and Hilltop Wind would have earned $1.4m less.
